say that England was the leader in the late 60's and early to mid
70's prog rock movement with such groups as Yes, Genesis, Pink
Floyd being played on FM radio. Genesis in particular influenced
a lot of other groups around the world.
Series 1 podcast features some groups that you may not know about.
Spring (1971), T2 (1970) Van Der Graaf Generator (1969)
T2 (early 70's)
Van Der Graaf Generator (1969)
Arena (2003)
Atomic Rooster (1970).
Atomic Rooster was formed in 1969 which featured Vincent Crane on
keyboards and Carl Palmer on drums. Carl was 19 at the time. Carl
later left to join ELP in June 1970.
Carl was also in the group The Crazy World of Arthur Brown which
had the summer of 1968 radio hit called "Fire".
